My Biography

"During my college days in the late 70s I formed a rock group with my Brothers called Black Treacle and we did gigs for friends and local youth clubs and village halls. Sadly work commitments on the farm meant I left the band (still going today as The Moonies).

During the 90s I started watching CMT, which was available here in the UK for a while on the early cable networks. Having grown up with Jim Reeves, Eddie Arnold records my father used to play. I have always loved Country Music. Though during my youth I was following great acts like Thin Lizzy.

Watching CMT I was moved by Dwight Yoakams songs and lyrics also Garth Brooks great showmanship. After a bad farm accident that left me with a severe knee injury. I got a chance working as Karaoke Dj. When things were quiet to liven things up I started performing a few Garth Brooks tracks and then some of Dwight Yoakams or Tim McGraws "Down on the Farm" with great effect.

I started doing a few gigs and it started to snowball from there. A spot in a local papers talent contest helped raise my profile and gigs started coming in. I have developed the show enjoying great fun with the audience, I have also been moved by the works of Rodney Crowell and am now incorporating some of his numbers into my show. I was offered a spot on a showcase in a show on Bournemouth Pier and had great fun with a super audience. Things have started moving in the right direction. With an appearance at The Lakeside Country Show, I have been also offered a chance to appear in an open-air show near Weymouth next May. I am working on a new album with a local singer songwriter and it will be recorded in the recording studio of the very popular local band The Celtic rock group "The Dolmen"

I am now ready to take my show to bigger venues, so come along for the ride and enjoy the fun
